pharmacological actions:

tetramisole hydrochloride is one of the broadest spectrum anthelminthic. It is equally effective against Nematodes(both adult and larval forms),Cestodes(both heads and segments) and Trematodes(mature flukes only).It is al so ovicidal and reduces environment contamination. Tetramisole Hydrochloride is a  broad-spectrum anthelmintic.Treatment of diseases caused by nematodes, roundworm. It has high effect to nematodes, tapeworm and trematodes of livestock and poultry.

Indication:

Cattle,sheep,goats
tetramisole hydrochloride is effective of prevention and treatment against:
-Gastro-intestinal worms: Haemonchus,Ostertagia,Trichostrongylus,Strongloides,Bunostomum,
Cooperia,Nematodirus,Chabertia,Oesophagostomum,Toxocara.
-Lungworms:Dictyocaulus,Muellerius,Protostrongylus,Neosrongylus,Cystocaulus.
-Tapeworms: Moniezia spp.
-Mature flukes:Fasciola spp,Dicrocoelium
Lanceolatum.

Dosage and administration:

 Tetramisol 600mg tablet is easily administered by oral route by mixing in concen trates since animals do not have any difficulty to swallow it. Cattle, Sheep, Goats: 1bolus for 40kg body weight to be mixed in feed. Poultry: 1bolus for 6-12kg body weight to be mixed in feed.

Withdrawal period: cattle 2 days,sheep 3 days,pig 3 days,fowl 28 days.

Validity: 2 years
